Dementia
Dementia is the term describing the neurological symptoms of a number of deficits that affect the brain. The first, most common sign of dementia is memory loss and the loss of sense of the patient’s nature of reality in name, face and place recognition. With humanistic, tailored care and support programs, the patient’s quality of life can be maintained and adjusted as dementia progresses. Medications may help some symptoms of dementia, but there is no cure.
