CIS player stable after brain injury

Bishop's University football player Kevin Kwasny remains in critical but stable condition in an induced coma in a Sherbrooke,Que., hospital following surgery for a brain hemorrhage Saturday.

The 21-year-old defensive lineman apparently suffered the injury during the first half of the Gaiters' 25-18 loss to the visiting Concordia Stingers in a Quebec University Football League game in Lennoxville,Que., earlier Saturday.
