Man sustains catastrophic brain damage from fall

 

A man is in a critical condition from catastrophic brain damage after he fell from a supermarket building in Melbourne's inner south-east on Sunday morning.

Paramedics were called to the Coles building on Chapel Street at 6am, where the man reportedly fell after attempting to climb the building.

The male, believed to be aged in his early 20s, sustained head and facial injuries, and possible spinal injuries. 

He was taken to The Alfred hospital.
